(Rhea Morar holds a Bachelor of Social Science in Psychology and an LLB Law degree, and is an experienced legal and compliance professional within the South African publishing industry. She currently serves as manager of Legal and Compliance at Juta and Company, and as Company Secretary to the Boards of both Juta and Future Managers. With a background in litigation and over seven years in publishing, Rhea brings legal rigour and strategic insight to the governance of two of South Africa’s most established publishing houses.
As Chair of the Copyright Commission of the Publishers’ Association of South Africa (PASA), she leads efforts to protect and strengthen copyright law, advocate for fair legislative frameworks, and promote awareness of intellectual property rights across the sector.
Driven by a deep appreciation for the arts and creativity, Rhea is passionate about supporting a sustainable publishing environment that respects the rights of creators and nurtures innovation.
