ABOUT THE PLACEMENT

Structured Placements in Gauteng and the Western Cape

The Publishers’ Association of South Africa is offering exciting internship opportunities for individuals who want to develop their career in the Book Publishing Industry. The programme is funded by FP&M SETA (Fibre Processing and Manufacturing Sector Education Training Authority). The Internship Programme is a structured placement programme administered by the Publishers’ Association of South Africa, running for a year (1 February 2025 to 31 January 2026). Interns are paid a monthly stipend and placed with contracted publishing companies in the Education, Trade and Academic sectors — people trained in video production are also encouraged to apply. Interns sign a contract committing them to the period and conditions of involvement and employment. Purpose: developing human resource capacity in the publishing industry, addressing the demographic needs articulated by the FP&M SETA, and increasing the employability of unemployed, qualified graduates.
