The purpose of this qualification is to prepare a learner to operate as a Commissioning Editor. A Commissioning Editor contributes to the strategic objectives and financial viability of the organisation by developing a publishing list. The commissioning editor plans and develops titles, manages growth and financial viability of titles and ensures the product meets the needs of the market and publisher in terms of quality, budget and deadlines.
This qualification does not replace any other qualification and is not replaced by any other qualification.
